Launch of CETENMA Living Lab

CETENMA bets on Living Lab format to foster innovation in Murcia Region and beyond. Well aware that without sharing the available information, co-creating knowledge and testing solutions in real-life conditions, no innovation is possible, CETENMA’s Living Lab aims at providing an interaction and testing service with a double objective: disseminate and test the solutions that are being developed in circular economy projects and facilitate networking and co-creation between the different actors in the value chains under circular transition, from those looking for solutions to those who offer them.

With this spirit, on May 8 at the Murcia Science Park, CETENMA launched the first of these meetings, which focus was on circular fertilizers (that is, those obtained from biowaste, food by-products and wastewater) under optimization and assessment in the SOILUTIONS and FER-PLAY projects. Both projects aim at creating the conditions for placing circular fertilisers on the market through awareness raising activities, impact assessment and co-creation of key aspects for their market launch, such as field tests, formulations and business models.

The first Living Lab meeting brought together farmers, agronomists, fertilizer producers, researchers and local administrations, who had the chance to see samples and interact with producers of insect frass and struvite recovered from industrial wastewater at the “expo” corner. Next to come will be focused on solutions to improve soil health in the recently funded Soil Mission project “Icoshell”.

Stay tuned to CETENMA and SOILUTIONS newsletters and social networks to not miss the next meetings!
